Welcome.

Helping Women Find Answers

My mission is to guide women back to loving and understanding their bodies.

A female body is a beautiful cauldron of mechanical parts, biochemicals, hormones, memories and stories.

But, it often doesn’t feel beautiful or pleasant, I’ve lived it myself.

I bring my expertise in natural medicine and women’s health to guide you to real, long lasting change.

How do we find answers?

▼ Testing and Pathology

▼ In-depth questioning and mapping of symptoms

▼ Understanding the connection between mind-body and all the bodily systems

▼ Commitment to the process

A Holistic Approach

▼ Women are Naturally Complex Creatures ::: We have more cycles (biochemically speaking) than male bodies, our nervous systems develop differently and our various life stages can make treatment tricky. By virtue of understanding all of the moving parts, the naturopathic approach can consider and treat all of you.

▼ I Teach, I listen ::: A key part of any healing process is understanding why something is occurring. This motivates us and empowers our future decisions. I will always consider your innate knowledge and offer a space to be heard.

▼ We Have a Huge Toolkit. ::: Unlike many mainstream medical options, I have numerous treatment options at my fingertips. Functional Food, Nutritional Medicines, Herbal Medicines and Mind-body techniques can all be personalised to you. You are unique and you need unique treatments that actually work.

▼ Root Cause. ::: I will find the deeper causes to your condition, while treating your symptoms. Bandaid approaches are old news. You are ready to get to the bottom of what’s holding you back and step into total wellness.

My Story

I still remember the moment I wanted to become a Naturopath. I was studying massage therapy in Hobart Tasmania, and a woman walked into the classroom and began writing a line of letter ‘C’s’ on the white board. She explained that she was a Naturopath, and she was going to be teaching us a class on human nutrition. The ‘C’s’ on the board were a chemical carbon chain. I was hooked!

In 2013 I graduated with a Bachelor of Health Sciences, but my curiosity in human health began way before that.

At the age of nine I got my first period. Menstruating early ran in my family, and it was my turn. Except I was different - my period didn’t stop. I was hospitalised and no pathological reason was found for the unstoppable bleed. From this young age I was put on a type of oral contraceptive pill that wiped out my natural cycle, from then on I was on some form of oral contraceptive for the next 10 years.

When I finally came off the synthetic hormone treatments in my mid-twenties the heavy periods began again. On three separate occasions I was hospitalised for further investigations, yet again, no clear explanation was found. Structurally everything was normal and healthy. The heavy bleeds left me fatigued, iron deficient and anxious. The best modern medicine could offer me was a blood clotting medication that would stop the bleeding, so every month was a waiting game to see what would happen. My life was punctuated with iron infusions, blood transfusions and frustration. Not only could my doctors and gynaecologists not provide me with answers, but that they didn’t seem interested in even trying to find the root cause.

It was my Naturopath, a lecturer of mine, who finally helped me get the necessary hormone tests to evaluate what was driving the heavy bleeds. A combination of dietary changes and herbal medicine healed me (rather quickly, I must say) and made way for me to conceive my first child naturally and easily. I’m now a mother of two and have had two natural childbirths without complication.

After completing my degree in Health Sciences I ran a successful clinical practice in an integrative GP clinic, and facilitated meditation classes and dance-movement sessions which balanced out the cerebral work of being a Naturopath. I’ve always loved dance and movement therapies, I weave my knowledge of somatic practice into my sessions with my clients.

In 2015, after the birth of my first son, I made the adventurous move to Tasmania. With a six month old baby and our life packed into a bus, we travelled to Tasmania. Our dream of setting up a life in the forest that was wholesome, sustainable, connected and authentic was taking shape. We now live on our 26 acre organic blueberry farm that we cultivated from scratch, and enjoy our simple life in the bush.

For me, living in accordance with my deeper values around natural living is key to my own health, but also to what I offer my clients. It grounds me, keeps me honest, and reassures me that we can all make small changes that allow for healthier lives, healthier communities and a healthier planet.

I have a naturally curious mind which drives my passion for helping my clients find ongoing solutions. It’s an exciting time to be a part of Women’s Health. This area is opening up as the female knowledge base comes forward to claim its space and research builds. I’m thrilled to be a part of this development in our healthcare approach.

If we heal women, we heal the world.
